What an AOG run actually looks like

The airline's maintenance team calls — usually outside office hours — with an AWB number, the cargo terminal it's coming into, and the destination hangar. A dedicated driver collects the part from the cargo agent the moment it clears customs, drives direct to the destination and hands it to the named recipient. No sortation, no transfer, no overnight in a regional depot. For Irish-based MROs and operators we run between Dublin, Shannon and Cork on the same day. For onward transfers into UK / EU MROs we coordinate the road leg via Dublin Port or Belfast.

The handling matters

Aircraft parts aren't just expensive — many require specific handling: temperature-controlled, anti-static, dangerous-goods labelled, or simply too heavy for a single driver to lift unsupervised. Our team is trained on cargo-terminal procedures and works to your specific consignor declaration. Where dangerous-goods handling is needed, the consignor must provide a valid DG declaration; we operate to IATA cargo-terminal rules for the road leg.
